Food for Thought

It has been brought to my attention that perhaps having shops that look like someone having a yard sale just might not be the most efficient way to attract buyers.  Of course, my shop fits the 'yard sale' mode.

I'm truly trying to focus more on specific catagories and move away from some of the more random works but it's slow going.  I'll never get down to just one thing.  That's simply not in my nature.

What in the world will I do with all the miscellaneous finished items to say nothing of the mountains of supplies I have acquired?  A daunting task, indeed.  Need to ponder this a bit.  The seed has been planted, Katie.

Say Good-by to the Feathers.

  2. Oh dear....I didn't realize I had come across so harshly. Sorry hun! I'm glad to see you making your store a "Destination." Though I must say that I hope you keep the wands with feathers...because I'm rather fond of those.

    1. Katie - you're never harsh. Truth sometimes has an OUCH factor. LOL Decorated feathers will go first followed by the wands. Not much market for either. That's the plan. The details haven't been worked out. (The Devil is in the details you know.)

  3. I'm sorry that your feathers are leaving. They look so beautiful. Would it be possible for us to do a trade? As I really like them. And I can always make a custom art piece for you in form of a painting, bookmark etc... or anything you see in my shop. It will be a shame for them not to go to a good home. Wishing you well, and thank you for sharing.

  4. Just feel free to contact me on Etsy (ChanelledCreations) and then we can proceed with the trade if you see this as being an option. Thanks very much and have a good day.

  6. Aw Marianne - anything you touch turns beautiful. Its a shame to see those wands and feathers go. They are so unique. I know I'm not making this easier for you! Lol. I have totally the same problem in my shop. For too many things that don't seel that I should be tipping off the edge!

  7. The feathers and wands are gorgeous, but I can see how there wouldn't be as much of a market for them as for your other creations. I can't wait to see what you come up with next though!

  8. The feathers are beautiful and their photographs gorgeous !

It will be a sad day when artists feel that their work has to become a monoculture of goods.. much like how commercial farming become- one crop for miles on end... and look where that has gotten us... food for thought indeed.

Best wishes with your shop reorganization :)
